Il Risveglio del Carnevale è un’opera in tre atti e un epilogo, attraverso cui Arianna Vairo interpreta in maniera personale l’archetipo del rituale, attingendo alla sua drammaturgia antica, comune a tutte le geografie che lo compiono, e che assume di luogo in luogo caratteristiche specifiche e locali. Sfilano 16 figure, ognuna su un foglio autonomo, tutte dipinte con inchiostri ad olio “artisan” (diluibili con acqua) e acquerelli, su carta in dimensioni 30 cm x 42 cm.

Il periodo di realizzazione va dal 17 dicembre 2020 (inizio dei Saturnali), al 16 febbraio 2021 (fine del Carnevale), nell’anno in cui il rituale è stato interdetto dalla pandemia, Arianna l’ha cercato nel mondo delle immagini.

The Carnival Awakening is a work in three acts and an epilogue, through which Arianna Vairo interprets in a personal way the archetypal ritual, drawing on its ancient dramaturgy, common to all the geographies that perform it, and which takes on from place to place specific and local characteristics. Parade of 16 figures, each on an autonomous sheet, all painted with "artisan" oil inks (dilutable with water) and watercolors, on paper in dimensions 30 cm x 42 cm.

The period of completion is from December 17, 2020 (beginning of Saturnalia), to Feb. 16, 2021 (end of Carnival), in the year when the ritual was interdicted by the pandemic, Arianna looked it up in the world of images.
