Il Brunitoio presenta una serie di dipinti realizzati da Arianna Vairo, con materie pittoriche acquatiche su carta, tra luglio e settembre 2023.

L’artista si relaziona con l’ambiente vivente, attraverso il suo linguaggio primario: l’immagine.

Sulla pista della lettera che Osvaldo Licini ha scritto a Franco Ciliberti nel 1941, Arianna ha intrapreso un pellegrinaggio verso “una profondità ancora verde”, immergendosi con devozione nell’ascolto profondo del paesaggio, tra forme, suoni e colori, in cerca dello spirito primordiale che abita e anima il mondo.

Opere di piccole, medie ed enormi dimensioni, sono raccolte in cammino sul sentiero da Assisi ad Amandola, dal cuore d’Italia al cuore di un luogo dalla potenza evocatrice straordinaria: i monti Sibillini; e in tre residenze: una alle pendici di Sibilla e Priora, che giorno dopo giorno hanno svelato ai pennelli la soglia dei mondi, un’altra immersa nelle albe mentre inondano la Val di Non, e la terza dove tutto è partito e torna per essere esposto: qui a Ghiffa, sulle sponde del lago Maggiore, dove i pennelli hanno assistito all’incontro tra la terra e il cielo nello specchio dell’acqua.

On the trail of the letter Osvaldo Licini wrote to Franco Ciliberti in 1941, Arianna has embarked on a pilgrimage to "a depth that is still green," devoutly immersing herself in the deep listening of the landscape, among forms, sounds and colors, in search of the primordial spirit that inhabits and animates the world.

Works of small, medium and enormous dimensions are collected on their way along the path from Assisi to Amandola, from the heart of Italy to the heart of a place of extraordinary evocative power: the Sibillini Mountains; and in three residences: one on the slopes of Sibilla and Priora, which day after day have revealed to the brushes the threshold of worlds; another immersed in the sunrises as they flood the Val di Non; and the third where it all began and returns for display: here in Ghiffa, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, where the brushes have witnessed the meeting of earth and sky in the mirror of water.

The awakening of carnival and other shapes of celebration

Three series of watercolor paintings, created by Arianna Vairo between 2019 and 2022, interact with each other on the walls of the historic Nuages ​​Gallery in Milan, celebrating the concept of commonality, in the symbol of celebration and ritual. A small carnival, dancers and round dance animate the exhibition space with bright colors.

“The awakening of carnival" is a parade, where ancestral figures between man and animal, followed by white standard bearers, carry symbols of awakening in a joyful parade. The “Dancing Inks” are a series of watercolors on paper made live, in the last moments before the pandemic, during action-painting sessions, in front of dancers in the magnificent idle gesture of dance. The “Girotondi” are a cycle of works on the symbol of union, where a multitude in celebration vibrates in a colored form.
